A Colombian customer recently purchased a rubber cracker mill machine from Shuliy Machinery for processing rubber material into fine powder. The customer’s raw material was not waste tires, so the equipment configuration was different from a typical tire recycling project.

The main requirement was straightforward: produce rubber powder at around 30 mesh while using a practical processing setup for the customer’s existing material.

From Rubber Material to Fine Powder

Before selecting the equipment, the size of the incoming rubber material needed to be considered. For this reason, the customer purchased a small crusher together with the rubber cracker mill.

The working process is arranged as follows:

Rubber material → Preliminary crushing → Fine grinding → Screening → Rubber powder

The small crusher reduces the original material to a more manageable size, while the rubber cracker mill is used for the subsequent grinding process.

Equipment Supplied for the Project

The core equipment of the project is the SL-350 rubber cracker mill machine. It is equipped with two rollers, both measuring 350 × 500 mm. The main motor is 30 kW, and the main machine weighs approximately 6.3 tons.

The grinding system also includes a vibrating screen and feeding equipment. The vibrating screen uses a 4 kW motor, while the feeding machine is equipped with a 1.5 kW motor. The customer’s required electrical specification is 220 V, 60 Hz, 3 phase.

For the first crushing stage, we supplied a small crusher with a listed capacity of 300 kg/h. It has 18 moving knives and 2 fixed knives, with SKD11 used for the knives. A 10–12 mm screen is installed to control the size of the crushed material.

Why Use Two Machines?

The two machines serve different purposes in the process.

The small crusher handles the initial size reduction. Its 10–12 mm screen helps prepare the rubber material before it enters the grinding stage.

Der Gummikracker-Mühlenmaschine then carries out the finer grinding and works together with the screening system to process the material toward the customer’s required powder size.

This setup was selected based on the customer’s actual raw material rather than using a complete waste tire recycling line.

A Rubber Grinding Solution for a Specific Application

This project is a good example of why rubber grinding equipment is not necessarily limited to waste tire processing. When the raw material and required powder size are clearly defined, the equipment can be arranged around the actual production process.

For this Colombian customer, the combination of a small crusher and SL-350 rubber cracker mill machine provides the required size-reduction and grinding stages in one compact processing setup.
