Raw Materials & Compacted Results

The main raw material processed by the styrofoam compactor is waste EPS foam (e.g. polystyrene foam), which usually comes from packaging, insulation materials, and disposable tableware. Through the treatment of the foam compactor, these raw materials can be compressed into high-density blocks.

After compression, the size of the finished foam is greatly reduced, making it easier to store and transport. The high-density compressed blocks not only reduce the volume occupied by the waste foam during transportation but also facilitate subsequent recycling.

The compacted foam increases density and decreases volume, which is convenient for stacking, storage, and transportation.

Principle of EPS Foam Compactor

The styrofoam compactors compress waste EPS foam into high-density blocks by mechanical pressure. The working principle is as follows:

  • Raw material placement: First, put the waste EPS foam into the inlet of the styrofoam compactor.
  • Pre-crushing: After feeding, the foam material is preliminarily crushed by the pre-crushing mechanism into smaller blocks or pieces for better compression.
  • Compression: The crushed foam fragments enter the compression chamber, where a hydraulic or mechanical drive system generates a strong compression force to compress the foam material into high-density blocks.
  • Finished product output: After compression into high-density blocks, the finished product is discharged through the outlet. The compressed blocks usually have high density and stability for subsequent storage and transportation.
